Jason W. Grooters

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Jason Grooters is the executive vice president and chief financial officer for New Republic Partners. He oversees the firm’s accounting and reporting activities for all business lines. He leads initiatives to determine accounting and tax implications for all material business decisions, as well as internal financial audit and compliance activities.

Jason brings a broad range of corporate finance, public accounting, business operations and multi-family office administrator expertise to his role in the firm. He is a key member of the firm’s executive strategic planning team.

Prior to joining New Republic Partners, Jason was the chief accounting officer for First Citizens Bancshares where he was responsible for all accounting functions and partnered with the chief financial officer to determine accounting and tax implications for all material business decisions. He led tax and compliance strategy and acted as a liaison to the company’s external auditing firm, SEC and other regulators.

He served as a partner at Eton Solutions where he was the director of reporting and operations. In his role there, he managed daily operations and client reporting requirements. He also managed hedge fund administration for five funds and was responsible for all financial and compliance reporting for the funds. 

He is a graduate of Philadelphia University with a B.S. in business and earned his Master of Accounting from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jason currently serves on the board of directors and is the chair of the capital campaign for Haven House Services, a nonprofit serving youth in Raleigh, North Carolina.
