RICHMOND, VA. — New Republic Partners has announced the hire of Ali Bayler as Managing Director to lead the firm’s expansion in the mid-Atlantic region. Bayler is an experienced investment management and community leader. She will lead New Republic Partners’ team in the region serving the firm’s family, endowment, foundation and institutional investors and establish a regional office in Richmond.
New Republic Partners is a privately held investment management and advisory firm that provides customized portfolios, asset-class-specific fund offerings, planning and the expertise of
a seasoned wealth advisory and family office services team. The firm was created in partnership with two prominent families and related endowments, which offers stability and perspective into the unique needs of multi-generational assets. Members of the firm’s team have experience working in family offices, endowments, outsourced CIO providers (OCIOs), global asset managers and as direct investors.

Before joining New Republic Partners, Bayler served as a portfolio manager with Brown Advisory, a managing director with Spider Management LLC, a director with global law firms, and an analyst at Wilbanks Smith & Thomas Asset Management. Her 25 years of experience provides valuable perspectives on the diverse needs of clients. She brings an understanding of the nuances across different investment offerings, including alternative investments, and a dedication to the specific needs of her clients, including governance and engaging future generations.
As a Virginia native with ties across the Commonwealth and Washington, DC, Bayler is actively involved in numerous community organizations. She currently serves on the boards and/or investment committees of The Jenkins Foundation, The Nature Conservancy of Virginia, Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia, and Norfolk Academy. She is past chair of CARITAS, participated in Leadership Metro Richmond and co-founded Virginia Women in Finance.
Bayler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. She is certified as a Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst (CAIA).
