What We Do 

How does NRC and NRS protect my personal information? 

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. 

We authorize our employees to access your personal information only when they need it to perform their job function and we require companies that work for us (including service providers) to protect your information. 

How does NRC collect my personal information? 

We collect your personal information, for example, when you: 

  • enter into an investment advisory contract; 
  • open an account or provide account information; 
  • buy securities from us; 
  • give us your contact information; 
  • make a wire transfer or provide account information;
  • tell us about your investment or retirement portfolio 

We also collect your personal information from others, such as affiliates, brokers, financial institutions, credit bureaus or other companies. 

Why can’t I limit all sharing? 

Federal law gives you the right to limit only 

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness 
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you 
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you 

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. 

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account. 



Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. 

  • Our affiliates may include a broker-dealer, general partners of private funds and other financial entities. 


Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and onfinancial companies 

  • Nonaffiliates we share with can include banks, lenders, administrators, auditors, custodians, brokers, counterparties, legal advisors and other financial institutions. 

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. 

  • Our joint marketing partners may include other financial sponsors.

To assist us, we recommend that you advise us if there are any errors in your personal information and promptly update us with any changes to your personal information.
