Matthew Favreau is a director at New Republic Partners, where he advises families on investment strategy and the broader decisions that shape their financial lives. He helps clients bring clarity to complex choices, thoughtfully weigh competing priorities and implement strategies aligned with their long-term goals.

Matthew joined New Republic Partners at its founding and brings more than 25 years of experience across private wealth, institutional consulting and investment management. Before joining the firm, he advised high-net-worth families and served as a portfolio analyst to institutional clients at Wells Fargo Advisors. Earlier in his career, he held investment management and financial analysis roles at Evergreen Investments, Smith Barney, and CIT Group.

His experience across market cycles and client circumstances has reinforced his belief that effective advice begins with understanding what matters most to each family. Matthew combines investment discipline with a practical, highly personalized approach, helping clients navigate portfolio decisions, generational transitions, and other important financial considerations with confidence.

Matthew earned a B.S. in Business Administration from North Carolina State University and an MBA from the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte, where he was selected as a McColl Senior Fellow. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
