Tom Dobbins is the assistant vice president and controller for New Republic Partners where he oversees accounting and finance activities for the firm.
Tom previously worked as an assurance manager at Grant Thornton LLP where he specialized in audit, consulting and advisory services for financial services companies, including banks between $100 million and $50 billion in assets, specialty finance companies, registered investment advisors and private investment funds with varied investment strategies.
He earned his B.S. in accounting from the Poole College of Management and an M.A.C. from the Jenkins Graduate College of Management, both at North Carolina State University.
Tom serves on the advisory committee for the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill for their annual Carolina Kids Classic fundraiser.
