B. Pearson Pendergrass

Managing Director

Pearson Pendergrass is a managing director at New Republic Partners where he participates in portfolio management, asset allocation and investment diligence for the firm’s individual, family, endowment and foundation clients.

Pearson is an investor and advisor with over 15 years of experience in public and private markets, having served as an equity analyst, portfolio manager, strategy consultant and operator supporting family offices and their portfolio companies. He brings expertise in the areas of investment research, security analysis, portfolio construction and asset management.

He was formerly a principal at Paladino Capital where he focused on public and private equity opportunities. He previously served as an investment officer for ClearPath Foundation, managing investments in hedge funds and a value-oriented portfolio of public equities.

Pearson served as a senior equity research associate at KeyBanc Capital Markets in New York, as a research analyst at a $2b event driven long-short hedge fund during business school, and as an associate at H.I.G Capital’s real estate private equity fund. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at Banc of America Securities in New York.

Pearson graduated magna cum laude from Washington & Lee University with a B.S. in business administration and accounting. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Pearson serves as a mentor for students in Columbia Business School’s Value Investing Program through the Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Family Impact Fund and the Children’s Scholarship Fund.
