Tad Spence is a senior associate on the finance team at New Republic Partners where he supports finance, accounting, compliance and operations activities for the firm.

Tad previously worked as a senior fund accountant at NovaQuest Capital Management where he provided accounting, financial reporting, treasury operations, and valuation expertise for NovaQuest Capital and the NovaQuest fund entities. He also supported the financial statement audit process, satisfying reporting, and compliance requirements.

Tad was an assurance senior associate at Grant Thornton. While there, he worked on various financial services and asset management client teams providing technical accounting expertise unique to SEC registered investment advisors, valuations, and investment fund accounting.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He holds a Master of Accounting from the Jenkins Graduate Program in the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of North Carolina.
